We were delighted to host an in-house lecture at Honda Research Institute Japan last week.

We were honored to welcome Prof. Etsuko Harada, Research Director at Idealab Inc. and Distinguished Visiting Professor at the University of Tsukuba, as our guest speaker.

Her lecture, "Universality of UI/UX and Cognitive Aging: Multi-aspects of Human-Agent/Robot Interactions," explored how cognitive aging influences interactions with user interfaces, agents, and robots. Drawing on cognitive psychology and cognitive science, she shared valuable insights into human-centered design and the unique characteristics of interactions between older adults and intelligent systems.

The session sparked engaging discussions across our multidisciplinary research community, with many employees participating both in person and online. It was a truly meaningful opportunity to deepen our understanding of human-centered AI and robotics.
