Dr. Jihong Zhu from the University of York Gives Seminar at HRI-JP

On October 7, Honda Research Institute Japan (HRI-JP) welcomed Dr. Jihong Zhu from the University of York for a special seminar.

Titled "Cooperative Robotics in Healthcare and Beyond: From Assistive Dressing to Automated Science," the seminar introduced cutting-edge research in assistive robotics, healthcare applications, and autonomous systems for scientific discovery.

Through a range of examples, from cooperative robots that support dressing assistance to robotic platforms for chemical experimentation, Dr. Zhu demonstrated how robotics technologies can enhance human independence, improve healthcare outcomes, and accelerate scientific advancement.

The seminar sparked active discussions among HRI-JP researchers and provided valuable insights into emerging trends and future directions in robotics and automation.
