The Honda Research Institute Japan (HRI-JP) aims for “contribution to the global environment” through genome research in the nanoscience field.
The Earth continues to produce by receiving solar energy from the Sun. Light grows plants, and plants accumulate energy while purifying the environment. As plants are at the core of the chain, if we can find plants that can grow in bad environments or plants that can accumulate energy, we believe we can avoid degradation of the global environment.
Our activities in genome research are a challenging new field for the Honda group. However, we conduct our research in the nanoscience field focused on plant genomes, as we cannot avoid this field in contributing to the global environment.
